Description: Early 19th century mahogany cased tavern clock, marked Birkle brothers and co., St Peter’s street, Ipswich.
Usual reverse wind “A” plated movement. Original brass hands. Original paintwork to solid mahogany dial.
Flame mahogany chisel bottom case with restrained ears, and locking door.
Birkle brothers retailed this clock at some time in its life, they worked in Ipswich 1855-1881.
This clock dates to circa 1810.
