Description: Mid 19th century drop dial fusee wall clock with 12” diameter dial, by Thwaites and Reed, Clerkenwell, London.
Mahogany and ebony line case with dial and bezel secured in the usual way with 4 pegs. The 12” original painted dial and blued steel hands protected by a cast brass glazed bezel. The back box has 2 side doors and a locking bottom door.
Rectangular plated chain fusee movement with 4 knopped pillars, numbered on the front plate 10807, dating this clock to 1846. With original steel rod pendulum.
