Description: A very unusual early 19th century drumhead fusee wall clock of 2 week duration by Alexander Smart from London.
10" original painted convex dial, with rise and fall pendulum adjustment hand at 12 o` clock. Fine blued steel hands protected by a locking cast brass bezel and convex glass.
Movement by Handley and Moore and numbered 2089, stamped on frontplate. Shaped shoulder movement plates with knopped pillars.
Mahogany case with locking bottom door and locking back door.
Dial falseplate marked on back with makers name and dated 1826.
